Role & responsibilities

1. Furniture Construction & Assembly

• Build and assemble wooden furniture such as chairs, tables, cabinets, beds, and shelves based on blueprints and client requirements.
• Cut, shape, and join wood, plywood, MDF, or other materials using various tools and techniques.
• Ensure precision in measurements and alignment for durability and functionality.

2. Blueprint & Design Interpretation

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create furniture accurately.
• Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to customize furniture designs.

3. Material Selection & Preparation

• Select suitable wood types, laminates, or other materials depending on the project requirements.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately to minimize waste and maintain efficiency.

4. Joinery & Finishing

• Apply various joinery techniques such as dovetail, mortise-and-tenon, or dowel joints for strong furniture construction.
• Sand, stain, paint, polish, or varnish furniture to achieve the desired finish and enhance durability.

5. Installation & Repair

• Install built-in furniture such as wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, or office fixtures at customer locations.
• Perform furniture repairs, refinishing, or modifications as needed.

6. Tool & Machine Handling

• Operate hand tools (saws, chisels, drills) and power tools (CNC machines, routers, sanders) safely and effectively.
• Maintain and service carpentry tools to ensure their longevity and performance.

7. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

• Inspect completed furniture for defects, ensuring proper finishing, smooth surfaces, and strong structural integrity.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Use protective gear and adhere to workplace safety protocols to prevent accidents.

8. Client Communication & Project Coordination

• Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and provide recommendations.
• Work alongside interior designers, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Provide cost estimates, timelines, and material suggestions when required.

Preferred candidate profile

Need 3yrs experience in gulf basic English
