Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
As Finance - General Cashier, You will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
  • Receives and records in the general cashier s daily report and include in the daily deposit all cash and checks received in the mail.
  • Prepares and makes the bank deposit. Assures that all receipts for the day are deposited the
  • following banking day.
  • Prepares General Cashier s Daily Report and issue official receipts for cheques and other cash receipts.
  • Prepares the monthly report on foreign currency sold and purchased after the end of each month.
  • Reconciles balance of cash in bank.
  • Prepares payroll every month.
  • Keeps informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
  • Provides information to hosts and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions.
  • Complies with governmental and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. Your performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Finance - General Cashier, You must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
  • Diploma or equivalent in Finance or Accounting and professional accounting body certification and at least 1 year experience in a hotel accounting role or similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Technical skills include advanced MS Office, Outlook platforms and Materials Control (MC), plus able to operate 10-key calculators and to perform calculations. You are also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms.
  • Fluent in English;
