Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance (8-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Accountabilities :

- Manual Testing : Create and execute manual test cases, documenting results and reporting defects or problems that arise during testing.

- Automation Testing : Design, develop, and execute automated tests. Write scripts for manual scenarios, and continuously maintain smoke, regression, and user journey test scripts in

collaboration with the scrum team.

- Defect Reporting : Report issues encountered during the testing phase and track their resolution.

- Test Automation Framework : Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and strategies, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

- Automation Testing Documentation : Document and maintain the complete end-to-end automation testing processes, frameworks, and procedures.

- Azure DevOps Integration : Link manual test cases in Azure DevOps to automated test scripts in Selenium (Visual Studio) or TestComplete.

- Test Script Maintenance : Regularly maintain automation test packs, ensuring alignment with testing requirements, and optimize scripts as needed.

- Log Analysis : Analyze daily smoke and nightly regression test logs, providing feedback to the team on results and issues.

- Collaboration : Liaise with developers, product owners, business analysts, and testers to ensure the test process is aligned with project goals.

- Knowledge Sharing : Share automation knowledge and grow the team's technical competencies, helping improve overall testing capabilities.

- Continuous Improvement : Evaluate new testing tools, suggest optimizations, and revise testing standards as necessary.

Key Critical Requirements :

- STLC & Agile Methodology : Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile principles.

- Automation Tools Proficiency : Expertise in SmartBear TestComplete, Selenium suite of tools (Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid).

- Test Frameworks & API Testing : Solid understanding of testing frameworks with Selenium (e.g., NUnit) and API testing.

- Version Control : Comfortable using Visual Studio and version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN, CVS).

- Desktop Testing : Exposure to Desktop Testing and experience with tools like Selenium IDE, TestComplete, and TestExecute.

- Attention to Detail : Ability to identify test data requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Qualifications :

- Degree/Diploma in IT or a related field.

- ISTQB/ISEB Certification is preferred.

- Advanced ISTQB Technical Testing certification is a plus.
