Deputy General Manager (Safety)

Job Profile

• Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable safety regulations, standards and best safety practices across all HLL manufacturing facilities.
• Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all HLL Manufacturing units to evaluate safety performance, identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Risk Assessment: Lead risk assessments, hazard analysis and safety evaluations to ensure the health and safety of all employees and stake holders in production environment.
• Safety Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programmes/ protocol for employees at all levels to foster a strong safety culture and ensure awareness of potential hazards and communicate safety policies, procedures and guidelines to employees at all levels of the organization and provide clear instructions during emergencies.
• Investigation: Conduct investigations if required on selected accidents to determine root cause and ensure effective corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
• Regulatory Reporting: Ensure timely submission of required safety reports by all manufacturing units to regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

Maximum Age : 45 years as on 01.01.2025

Scale of Pay (For Regular appointment): Rs. 70000 - 200000 /-

Annual CTC: Rs.19.78 Lakhs (Non-Metro) (approx.) at the minimum of the scale.

Qualification:

Essential : BE/B.Tech (Full time course) from a recognized university / institution with a full time Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Government /Factories rules.

OR

BE / B. Tech in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety (Full time course) recognized by the State Government / Factories rules.

Post Qualification Experience

Essential: Minimum 13 years of relevant experience (executive cadre) in safety regulations and compliances under the factories act/relevant act in factories/manufacturing units (with 1000 or more numbers of employees) of a Govt./public sector undertaking or Private company of repute. Out of which minimum 3 years experience in working as Head of Safety functions in factories / manufacturing units.

Candidates from CPSUs should be holding posts in the scale of pay of Rs.60000 - 180000 or equivalent level/post profile
