IT Product Analyst

Job Summary:

• The Product Analyst will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of lending products, collaborating closely with the in-house engineering team to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in building products with integrations with digital ecosystems in India, including familiarity with API gateways, and possess a strong background in SQL Server. This role involves preparing FSD (Functional Specification Documents), conducting AS-IS and TO-BE analysis, and developing detailed requirement documents with process flows to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Requirement Gathering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements related to lending products, including loan origination, loan management, and collections.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in existing processes.

Documentation:

• Prepare comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSD) that detail business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the engineering team.
• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE analysis to document current processes and propose optimized future-state processes.
• Develop detailed requirement documents, including use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria to guide the development and testing phases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation that outlines system architecture, data flow diagrams, and integration points, particularly with respect to API gateways.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that technical specifications align with business needs and are feasible for implementation.

Collaboration with Engineering Team:

• Support the in-house engineering team during the product development lifecycle, providing clarification on requirements and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
• Contribute to building the India Stack digital ecosystem, focusing on integrating lending products with API gateways and other digital services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement APIs that facilitate seamless integration and data exchange between systems.
• Utilize SQL Server to query and analyze data related to lending products, supporting decision-making and enhancing product features.
• Collaborate with data teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy in product-related databases.

Testing and Validation:

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that test cases align with business requirements and that products are thoroughly validated before release.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the developed solutions meet business expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Product Analyst or Business Analyst, in the lending domain.
• Strong understanding of loan origination, loan management, and collections processes within NBFC / Banks.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, with the ability to write queries and analyze data.
• Excellent documentation skills, with experience in preparing FSDs, detailed requirement documents, and process flows.
