Job Description
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and maintenance of our Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. These systems are the backbone of our communication and information infrastructure, playing a vital role in passenger safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of all ELV systems, including CCTV, fire alarm system, public address (PA), passenger information systems (PIS), and nurse call systems (if applicable).
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of all ELV equipment.
- Manage a team of technicians, providing guidance and ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues that arise with the ELV systems, implementing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs or upgrades to ELV systems.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest ELV technologies and best practices, recommending improvements to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards for ELV systems.
- Prepare reports and presentations on the performance and status of ELV systems for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in managing and maintaining ELV systems, preferably in the transportation sector.
- Strong understanding of various ELV systems, including CCTV, fire alarm, PA, and nurse call systems (if applicable).
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot ELV system issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans.
- Proficient in technical documentation and record keeping.
- Working knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards for ELV systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
