Ass. Engineer / Asst. Manager - Electrical

GIFTCL invites application for the position of Assistant Engineer / Assistant Manager - Electrical. This is a contractual position for a period of 5 years. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience.

The candidate should have done Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering / Diploma in Electrical engineering from reputed institute with minimum 3-5 years of experience. Detailed job description is as under,

• Consumer Power application Process: Check the details provided in the application, verify the documents uploaded, TS and Estimate preparation, Update consumer details in SAP.
• Energy Meter Installation & testing: Installation of whole current & CT meters for consumer at site, testing of existing energy meter as per schedule.
• Interaction with consumers for various work-related activities.
• Data management for MIS and various compliances.
• Energy Metering related Material management & procurement.
• Meter Data analysis loss calculation.
• Vigilance of consumer’s installation as per schedule.
• Undertake projects/work as assigned by the management.

Competencies Required :

• Must have thorough technical knowledge of metering and meter-related work practices, tools materials and equipment.
• Perform testing of meter-related electrical test equipment and other meter-related apparatus.
• Must have knowledge of Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Automated Metering Reading (AMR).
• Must have the ability to read and understand equipment manuals and wiring diagrams
• Must have the ability to communicate clear and concise verbal instructions and information to coworkers, customers and others.
• Must be aware of the regulations notified under the State and Central Electricity Regulator.
• Must have Knowledge of MS Office.
• Train other personnel in job-related operations.
• Perform work with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
