Job Description

Flamingo BPO Technology Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Executive to manage payroll processing for 3,000 employees across India . The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of state-wise minimum wages , payroll software, taxation, and compliance. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in payroll management to ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
Key Responsibilities 1. Payroll Processing Management
  • Accurately process payroll for 3,000 employees across multiple states in India .
  • Ensure compliance with state-wise minimum wages, overtime calculations, and statutory deductions .
  • Handle monthly salary calculations , including basic pay, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
  • Work with payroll software to process salaries, generate reports, and maintain payroll records.
  • Manage off-cycle payments such as final settlements, arrears, and incentives.
2. Compliance Statutory Regulations
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory compliance , including EPF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Gratuity.
  • Stay updated on state-wise minimum wage revisions and implement changes accordingly.
  • Manage income tax deductions (TDS), Form 16 issuance, and quarterly tax filings .
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure payroll operations comply with government regulations.
3. Payroll Software Reporting
  • Work on payroll software for salary processing, tax calculations, and data management.
  • Generate MIS reports, payroll summaries, and employee earnings statements .
  • Reconcile payroll data to ensure accurate bank disbursements and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with IT and HR teams to ensure smooth integration of employee data into the payroll system.
4. Employee Query Handling Coordination
  • Address employee payroll-related queries, including salary breakdowns, tax calculations, and deductions.
  • Provide guidance on income tax declarations, investment proofs, and tax-saving options .
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees regarding payroll processes.
5. Audits Documentation
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and audit trails for compliance purposes.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for internal and external audits .
  • Assist in HR and finance audits related to salary disbursement, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Required Qualifications Skills
 
1. Educational Qualifications
  • bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field .
  • Additional certification in Payroll Management, Taxation, or HR Compliance is a plus.
2. Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing for large organizations (preferably BPOs or IT firms).
  • Experience handling payroll for 3,000+ employees across different states in India.
3. Technical Professional Skills
  • Proficiency in payroll software (such as SAP, ADP, GreytHR, or similar tools).
  • Strong knowledge of state-wise minimum wages, labor laws, taxation (TDS), and statutory deductions .
  • Expertise in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, etc) for payroll analysis.
  • Familiarity with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, and Income Tax laws .
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
4. Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with employees and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle payroll discrepancies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and confidentiality in handling payroll data.
