Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reporting Manager Title - Head of HR, Director of Operations
Job Summary:
- The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions at our Sanand location, with a strong focus on volume hiring, blue-collar recruitment, statutory compliance, employee relations, and industrial relations.
- This role requires a hands-on individual with a proven track record in managing a wide range of HR activities, particularly within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding, with a particular emphasis on blue-collar hiring and volume recruitment.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of open positions.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and other external partners.
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle:
- Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are integrated effectively into the organization.
- Manage employee data and maintain accurate HR records.
- Administer employee benefits programs.
Employee Relations & Grievance Management:
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage employee performance reviews and development plans.
Industrial Relations & Legal:
- Handle labor issues and disputes, including disciplinary actions and domestic inquiries.
- Oversee court cases related to employment matters.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, including CLRA.
- Manage job contractor relationships and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and best practices.
- Develop and implement company policies and procedures related to employment.
- Manage the standing orders of the company.
Statutory Compliance:-
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports to relevant authorities.
- Manage audits and inspections related to labor compliance.
Attendance & Leave Management:
- Oversee attendance and leave management systems.
- Monitor absenteeism and implement strategies to reduce it.
Budgeting & Reporting:
- Develop and manage the HR budget for the Sanand location.
- Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- MBA in HR preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR, with a significant portion of that time spent in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Proven experience in volume hiring and blue-collar recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in handling industrial relations issues, including union management and court cases.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
