Information Technology Network Engineer - CCNA Certified (1-2 yrs)

As the IT Network Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing stability and simplifying connectivity to improve the user experience of IT-delivered services.

Your Responsibilities :

As the Network Engineer based in our HQ in Louvain-La-Neuve, you will be responsible for :

- Troubleshoot network (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and firewall-related issues while providing excellent customer service according to priorities based on business impact and urgency.

- You manage the lifecycle of the existing infrastructure to keep it modern and up-to-date.

- You automate tasks and come up with improvements to increase efficiency.

- You collaborate with project managers and technology teams to deliver efficient and quality projects.

- You work closely with vendors, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.

- You create technical documentation and review it regularly.

- You provide guidance to other engineers and share knowledge via technical sharing sessions with the Service Desk.

- You conduct latency optimization testing identify breakages and recommend solutions.

- You support a secured wireless environment.

- You also support of datacenter migrations, upgrades, and redesign.

- You finally support global HQ, regional, and plants with Cisco and Meraki devices.

Requirements :

Basic requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

- Basic understanding of Business Operations (OT) concepts.

- Advanced understanding of ITSM Framework (ITIL).

- ITIL Foundations certified required.

- Must have relevant licenses or certificationsCCNA.

- At least 5 years of technical expertise in switching, routing, security (firewalls), wireless systems.

- Expert knowledge of troubleshooting layer 1, layer 2, and layer 3 issues.

- QoS design, deployment strategies and architecture experience.

- Monitoring tools like CA eHealth, Solarwinds Orion, PRTG, or Ciscoworks.

- Understanding of various network storage (SAN/NAS) & backup technologies.
