Modern Trade Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Management:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets for modern trade in Kerala.
• Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the modern trade segment.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Modern Trade Channel Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and organized retail chains.
• Ensure product placement, visibility, and adherence to planograms in all modern trade outlets.
• Negotiate and manage agreements, terms, and conditions with modern trade partners.

Operational Efficiency:

• Ensure timely and accurate forecasting of demand, stock replenishment, and order execution.
• Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and stock availability.
• Monitor trade schemes, offers, and promotions for effectiveness and compliance.

Market Insights & Competitor Analysis:

• Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for business improvement.Role & responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience: 8-12 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2-4 years in modern trade channel management.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
• Strong understanding of modern trade operations, key account management, and retail dynamics in Kerala.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make strategic decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office and sales management tools.
