Modern Trade Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Growth & Target Achievement:
   
• Achieve sales targets through effective planning, execution, and monitoring of modern trade accounts.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue in assigned territories.
2. Account Management:
   
• Manage and strengthen relationships with modern trade chains (e.g., supermarkets, hypermarkets, key retail chains).
• Handle day-to-day operations, stock management, and promotions for modern trade partners.
• Collaborate with key accounts to plan promotional campaigns, product visibility, and shelf space allocation.
3. Business Development:
   
• Identify new business opportunities and expand product listings within existing and new modern trade outlets.
• Negotiate terms of trade, margins, and promotional activities to maximize profitability.
4. Sales Analysis & Reporting:
   
• Track and analyze sales data to monitor performance and trends.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and competitor analysis for effective decision-making.
5. Coordination:
   
• Work closely with the supply chain, marketing, and merchandising teams to ensure product availability and optimal execution of promotions.
• Resolve operational challenges faced by customers promptly.
6. Market Insights:
   
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to recommend improvements in sales strategies.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 4-8 years of experience in modern trade sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of modern trade operations and dynamics.
• Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in sales analytics, forecasting, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.
