Assistant Manager - Security - Rail & Inland Terminals

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager - Security to join our security team. In this role, you will assist in overseeing and managing the security operations of the organization, ensuring the safety and security of employees, assets, and facilities. You will be responsible for implementing security policies, supervising security personnel, coordinating emergency response procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Operations: Assist the Security Manager in overseeing the day-to-day security operations across the organization’s premises.
• Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel, ensuring adherence to security protocols and procedures.
• Incident Management: Respond to security incidents and emergencies, investigating incidents, preparing reports, and ensuring proper follow-up actions are taken.
• Security Systems: Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, identifying potential security threats and recommending solutions to mitigate risks.
• Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety and security of staff and facilities.
• Training & Development: Provide training and ongoing development to security personnel on best practices, emergency response, and use of security equipment.
• Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and executing emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and other safety measures.
• Liaison with Authorities: Establish and maintain communication with local law enforcement and emergency services, ensuring timely and effective coordination during security incidents.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and incident reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to employees and visitors by maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor while ensuring security protocols are upheld.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (preferred).
