Job Description :
We are seeking a talented and motivated ServiceNow Developer with expertise in ITSM (IT Service Management) and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to join our team. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for customizing and configuring the ServiceNow platform, ensuring the effective management and integration of IT services and assets across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
ServiceNow Development & Configuration :
- Develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management, and Knowledge Management.
- Work on CMDB and asset management processes, ensuring accurate and efficient management of configuration items (CIs).
- Customize ServiceNow forms, workflows, notifications, UI policies, UI actions, business rules, and other platform elements.
Integration & Scripting :
- Implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise tools and systems (e.g., monitoring tools, third-party applications, etc.).
- Write and maintain business logic and scripting in JavaScript, including server-side and client-side scripts (e.g., GlideRecord, GlideAjax, REST API, etc.).
Technical Support & Troubleshooting :
- Provide support for the ServiceNow platform, resolving issues and ensuring the smooth functioning of ITSM processes and CMDB data management.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve complex issues within the ServiceNow platform.
Requirement Gathering & Process Design :
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new features, enhancements, and processes in ITSM and CMDB areas.
- Assist in mapping and aligning business requirements with ServiceNow capabilities, ensuring efficient process flows.
Testing & Documentation :
- Conduct testing of developed applications and functionality to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation on solutions, processes, configurations, and customizations.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
ServiceNow Development Experience :
- Proven experience working with the ServiceNow platform (especially ITSM and CMDB).
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow's core modules (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, etc.).
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and ServiceNow scripting techniques (e.g., GlideRecord, GlideAjax).
- Experience in ServiceNow CMDB, data modeling, and relationship mapping.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow's REST API and integration techniques.
Certifications :
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
- ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB certifications are a plus.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills :
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform issues.
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Communication & Collaboration :
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, developers, and end-users.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with ServiceNow Orlando or newer versions.
- Familiarity with other ITIL-based processes or certifications.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping modules is a plus.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
