Senior Manager-Purchase

Role & responsibilities :

1. Procurement Management

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships for long-term partnerships.

2. Supply Chain Optimization

• Design and execute strategies to optimize supply chain operations, minimizing lead times and costs.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials while avoiding overstocking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align supply chain activities with production schedules and demand forecasts.

3. Vendor Management

• Evaluate, qualify, and onboard vendors based on company standards.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Develop contingency plans to address supplier risks or disruptions.

4. Budgeting and Cost Control

• Prepare and manage procurement budgets to align with financial goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies across the supply chain.
• Implement strategies for total cost reduction, including alternative sourcing.

5. Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

6. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and mentor the procurement and supply chain team to achieve performance goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Encourage cross-functional collaboration between departments (e.g., finance, operations, logistics).

7. Performance Metrics and Reporting

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement and supply chain operations.
• Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and improvement areas.
• Use data analytics and tools to drive decision-making and enhance supply chain efficiency.

8. Technology and Process Improvement

• Leverage procurement and supply chain management tools (e.g., ERP systems) to enhance efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement workflows.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovations into operations.

Preferred candidate profile:

Should have minimum experience of 10 Years of Supply Chain Management, Purchase & Procurement. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or related filed. Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent.
