Sr.Mgr/Mgr-Engineering Purchase(engineering/Project Purchase Head)

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project/Engineering-Purchase Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement

activities for various projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials, optimizing costs, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning:- Develop and implement procurement plans for projects, considering budget, timeline, and quality requirements.

Supplier Management:- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on project needs. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.

Cost Management:- Monitor and control procurement costs, ensuring alignment with project budgets. Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Contract Management:- Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Inventory Management:- Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials while minimizing excess stock.

Risk Management:- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.

Collaboration:- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities into project plans.

Reporting:- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to senior management.

Compliance:- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:-Bachelor's/Master degree in, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:- Minimum of 10-18 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with a focus on project-based/Engineering purchasing.

Preferred from Chemical Industry background.

Skills:-

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of SAP
