Role & responsibilities

Strategic Procurement:

Develop and execute purchasing strategies in line with organizational goals.

Evaluate market trends to identify cost-effective procurement opportunities.

Vendor Development and Management:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure competitive terms.

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.

Supply Chain Management:

Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from requisition to delivery.

Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Inventory Control:

Monitor stock levels and plan procurement to avoid overstocking or shortages.

Implement effective inventory management systems.

Cost Optimization:

Analyze spending patterns and recommend cost-saving measures.

Ensure procurement is within budget while maintaining quality.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to statutory guidelines, company policies, and ethical practices.

Maintain records for audits and compliance requirements.

Team Leadership:

Manage, mentor, and guide the procurement team.

Conduct regular performance appraisals and training for team development.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks in the supply chain and devise mitigation strategies.

Develop contingency plans to handle disruptions in procurement.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's/master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong understanding of procurement principles, market analysis, and cost optimization.

Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
