Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Head to lead procurement for EPC Contract for our Renewable Power Division. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, strategic mind-set, and proven expertise in sourcing and managing procurement processes for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Planning:

Design and implement procurement strategies to support renewable energy projects, ensuring cost optimization and timely delivery.

Align procurement goals with companys overall business strategy and project timelines.

Vendor Development and Management:

Identify, assess, and on board suppliers with proven expertise in renewable energy equipment and services.

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure uninterrupted project support.

Negotiate favourable terms and ensure adherence to contractual commitments.

Technical and Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with engineering and project teams to define technical specifications and procurement requirements.

Evaluate technical bids, ensuring equipment quality and compliance with industry standards.

Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality and performance benchmarks.

Cost and Budget Management:

Develop and monitor procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.

Regulatory and Compliance Management:

Ensure procurement processes comply with industry regulations, including renewable energy policies and environmental standards.

Manage documentation for audits and adhere to global trade compliance requirements for imports and exports.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team to achieve performance excellence.

Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the department.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of renewable power components (e.g., solar modules, inverters, transformers, wind turbines).

Procurement Strategy: Strong capabilities in developing and implementing procurement strategies for large-scale projects.

Vendor Negotiation: Proven track record of securing favourable terms with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate cost structures, optimize procurement costs, and mitigate risks.

ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with procurement and supply chain management software.

Leadership: Excellent team management and interpersonal communication skills.

Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement challenges.
