Technical Oversight and Maintenance: a. Manage maintenance and repair operations of refrigerated containers at multiple depots. b. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with industry standards. c. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
2. Team Leadership and Management: a. Lead technicians and maintenance status, providing guidance, training, and evaluations. b. Coordinate technician schedules for preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and optimize resources. c. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the maintenance team.
3. Revenue Generation and Business Development: a. Identify revenue opportunities through spare parts sales, tool utilization, and service contracts. b. Develop and negotiate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and service agreements, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. c. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote maintenance services and expand the customer base.
4. Container Inventory Management: a. Manage container inventory, including inward and outward movements. b. Ensure all containers are in ready-to-dispatch condition, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality. c. Implement systems to track container status, availability, and maintenance history.
5. Customer Relationship Management: a. Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. b. Monitor customer feedback, implement improvements, and exceed service expectations. c. Build strong, long-term relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
6. Operational Excellence and Compliance: a) Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and financial transactions using ERP systems. b) Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards. c) Implement cost-effective measures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
1. B. Tech. or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in container maintenance and repair
2. 7+ years of proven experience in managing maintenance operations for refrigerated containers or similar equipment, ideally in a depot or logistics environment.
3. Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills with a successful track record in team management and development.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Flexibility to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required.
