Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in industrial refrigeration systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience working with ammonia and Freon-based industrial refrigeration systems, along with a solid understanding of refrigeration technology and associated equipment. The role demands technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of refrigeration systems.

• Perform preventive, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance on refrigeration equipment, including compressors, motors, cooling towers, condensers, liquid level floats/controllers, and gas leak detection systems.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and operational guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Analyze and interpret technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, and piping diagrams to identify and address problems.
• Maintain and service freezers, cold storage units, chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, and other refrigeration-related systems.
• Ensure a comprehensive understanding of overall refrigeration systems and processes.
• Safely manage and handle ammonia-based refrigeration systems, adhering to industry safety protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with the operations team to plan and prioritize daily maintenance tasks.
• Support operational efficiency by addressing maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and troubleshooting results.
• Prepare and share daily reports with internal teams to ensure transparency and effective communication.
• Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule for all refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of operating equipment and log findings in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively in basic English, both verbally and in writing, to document and convey technical information.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools proficiently for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, with a focus on Ammonia and Freon systems.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including freezers, cold storage units, chillers, heat exchangers, and pumps.
• Familiarity with electrical and piping diagrams, fluid schemes, and other technical documentation.
• PLC and SCADA system knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
