Maintenance Manager
Job Description: As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the organizationâs
maintenance operations, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and assets are maintained to
support optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency standards. You will lead the maintenance
team, develop strategic maintenance plans, and ensure seamless operations across all
departments.
Key Responsibilities:
ï• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training,
and support to ensure high performance.
ï• Delegate responsibilities effectively, monitor progress, and ensure the timely
completion of all maintenance activities.
ï• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules for all
facilities, equipment, and assets.
ï• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruptions to
daily operations.
ï• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency, criticality, and available resources.
ï• Implement preventive maintenance programs to identify and resolve potential issues
before they escalate.
ï• Conduct regular inspections, tests, and assessments to identify maintenance
requirements and opportunities for improvement.
ï• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment
performance for analysis and reporting.
ï• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergencies, ensuring
quick resolution of issues.
ï• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural problems efficiently.
ï• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
as required.
ï• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring optimal resource
utilization while adhering to cost constraints.
ï• Source and procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance
activities.
ï• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
within the maintenance operations.
ï• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all
maintenance activities.
ï• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of accidents
and injuries.
ï• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any identified hazards
promptly.
ï• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to
assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
ï• Recommend and implement process enhancements, technology upgrades, and best
practices to optimize maintenance operations.
ï• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the
maintenance department.
Qualifications and Skills:
ï•
Bachelorâs degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred).
ï• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing,
industrial, or commercial setting.
ï• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling techniques, preventive
maintenance strategies, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
ï• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to health, safety, and
environmental compliance.
ï• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
ï• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
ï• Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
ï• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and multiple priorities effectively.
