About The Role :.

Lead, direct and guide the Maintenance Team for providing Mechanical Maintenance support to Operation Team for Operating ISBL & OSBL area at minimal cost within the design standards and statutory regulations pertaining to mechanical integrity, safely, reliably and consistently..

Effective Mechanical Maintenance.

Authority:To depute the engineers and get the job done safely and timely.

To approve contractors invoices.

Ensure adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule and timely attending of any breakdown..

Ensure implementation of FA/RCA recommendations as per targets..

Ensure effectiveness of SAP system for various Maintenance & Spares procurement activities..

Establish Complaint management system for internal customers and take timely corrective actions.

Maintenance System & Practices.

Develop and implement SOP/SMPs (Standard Operating /Maintenance Procedures)..

Identify & develop alternate vendors (other than OEM) for repairs, consulting various new equipment suppliers etc..

Ensure availability of critical spares for mechanical equipment and ensure equipment availability..

Ensure safe commissioning of new facilities and timely completion of shutdowns..

Financial Perspective.

Provide inputs for preparing area wise Revenue & Capital Budget..

Monitor & track the actual vs planned revenue/capital budget & control the expenditure through cost control measures..

Effective utilization of available Resources..

Implementation of Energy Conservation measures..

Participative Management for enhancing economic efficiency of the organization because all team member will accept all decision and work with better cooperation..

Motivate team member to contribute ideas which can be useful to management..

Establish upward communication for proper decision making at the Top..

By information sharing regarding Budget/production/Department/Organization condition etc..

Organization Development, Depth of Management & Learning & Growth of Mechanical Maintenance Team members..

Identify potential of all team members and give opportunity to improve mechanical system through proper job rotation..

To Conduct knowledge sharing session, arranging trainings for the team and guide as a mentor for the area..

To do Skill gap analysis and ensure multi-skill development of the Subordinates..

Decide Goal statements for the Subordinates in line with organizational goals..

ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Systems, Policies & Procedures:To be accountable for implementation and improvement of the EMS systems, procedures & policies in respective functional operations..

To ensure adherence to the all health, safety, and environment systems during all maintenance activities..

Ensure 100% housekeeping of plant maintenance Area..

EMS 14001 implementation..

Ensure that all effluents are drained in designated channel..

Energy Management Systems 50001:2018 Requirements as per EnMS ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management System).

Awareness on Energy policy, significant energy uses, Energy objectives and Energy Management System (EnMS)..

Review of Objective/Targets, changes in EnPI, allocation of resources, Management programs and overall Energy performance..

KEY CHALLENGES.

Form the maintenance teams with very less no of experienced engineers for the maintenance of plant area..

Qualifications.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:.

Graduate Engineer (Mechanical).

Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:.

Engineering graduate Min 22 to 25 years of experience in the relevant field of maintenance and planning of large Oil Refinery/Petrochemical/Fertilizer unit.

Out of this at least 5 to 6 years should be in the area of maintenance/shutdown planning of large Oil Refinery/Petrochemical/Fertilizer plants..

Should have experienced in Project engineering & execution techniques and contract management..

Co-ordination with internal stake holders and external vendors/consultants for maintenance related issues..

Functional Skills:.

In-depth knowledge of Planning & Mechanical Maintenance of rotating equipment-Compressors, turbines.

Pumps, blowers, etc.

static equipment and engineering materials used in Oil Refinery/Petrochemical plant/Fertilizers for operational excellence..

Well convergent with computer operation/ SAP..

He should be aware about Energy policy, significant energy uses, Energy objectives and Energy Management System..

Should have a knowledge of product, quality parameters, environment, Safety and Energy Management.
