Automation WebDriverIO Test Engineer (3-6 yrs)

Job Title : Automation WebDriverIO Test Engineer

Experience : 3 to 5 years (Core Automation experience)

Location : Pune

Shift Timing : General shift

General Tasks :

- End-to-end automation testing using WebDriverIO.

- Mobile testing (Android and iOS).

- Setting up and configuring automation environments.

- Enhancing automation test scripts.

- Executing test suites.

- Preparing reports and analyzing test results.

Responsibilities :

- Analyzing business requirements to determine the test strategy covered by automation testing.

- Designing and implementing automation frameworks using WebDriverIO and Selenium.

- Updating framework functions when necessary.

- Developing new test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript for WebDriverIO.

- Implementing automation using WebDriverIO, Selenium and related tools.

- Setting up the test environment, including WebDriver configurations and dependencies.

- Enhancing test cases using WebDriverIO and integrating them into the test framework.

- Maintaining existing test scripts and regression suites.

- Attending stand-up meetings (daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement) for assigned projects.

- Executing regression suites and providing results to project managers, developers, manual testers, and stakeholders.

- Understanding business requirements, the application, and its components.

- Reviewing test reports and preparing a test summary report.

- Reporting any defects or observations on a day-to-day basis.

- Providing daily and weekly status reports to clients.

- Involvement in knowledge transfer to newly recruited personnel.

Qualifications or Skills :

- Strong knowledge of WebDriverIO.

- Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.

- Strong experience in mobile testing.

- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

- Strong experience with version control tools such as GitHub or SourceTree.

- Proficiency in automation frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine, Cucumber).
