4G/5G Protocol Developer - Radio Access Network (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled 4G/5G RAN Protocol Developer with expertise in C/C++ and 4G/5G RAN Layer 1 & Layer 2 (PHY/RLC/MAC). The ideal candidate should have experience in wireless communication, RAN protocol stack development, and working with Nvidia PHY or Xilinx-based solutions. Experience with OAI (Open Air Interface) integration is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

- RAN Protocol Development : Develop and optimize Layer 1 (PHY) and Layer 2 (RLC/MAC) components for 4G/5G RAN.

- Software Development : Write, debug, and optimize C/C++ code for real-time wireless communication systems.

- Hardware Acceleration : Work with Nvidia PHY or Xilinx FPGAs to optimize performance for RAN processing.

- OAI Integration : (Preferred) Integrate with Open Air Interface (OAI) for RAN development and testing.

- Performance Optimization : Enhance real-time processing and scheduling efficiency in L1/L2 layers.

- Collaboration : Work closely with hardware teams, system architects, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration.

- Troubleshooting & Debugging : Identify and resolve issues in the RAN protocol stack using debugging tools and performance profilers.

Must-Have Skills :

- Programming : Strong hands-on experience with C/C++ development.

- 4G/5G Protocols : Deep understanding of RAN L1 & L2 (PHY, RLC, MAC) layers.

- Hardware Acceleration : Experience working with Nvidia PHY or Xilinx FPGA-based solutions.

- Wireless Communication : Strong background in wireless systems, LTE/NR protocol stack, and real-time processing.

Good to Have Skills :

- OAI (Open Air Interface) Integration experience.

- Experience in DSP optimization for 5G RAN.

- Knowledge of 5G NR (New Radio) architecture.

- Exposure to SDR (Software-Defined Radio) development.

- Experience in test frameworks and automation for wireless protocols.

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
