Datacom L2/L3 Developer - Network/Routing Protocols (6-12 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking experienced Datacom L2/L3 Protocol Developers with strong expertise in C/C++ development for networking and routing protocols. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in L2/L3 protocol stack development, OSPF/BGP, MPLS, and L3 forwarding. Experience with Yocto OS and scripting (Shell/Python) will be a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- L2/L3 Protocol Development : Design, develop, and optimize Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols.

- Routing Protocols : Work on at least one major routing protocol (OSPF, BGP, etc.).

- MPLS & L3 Forwarding : Develop and optimize MPLS, L3 forwarding, and networking stacks.

- Distributed Router Architecture : Design and implement solutions for distributed router environments.

- Coding & Integration : Write efficient C/C++ code, perform unit testing, and integrate with networking stacks.

- Optimization & Troubleshooting : Optimize protocol performance and debug networking issues.

- Yocto OS & Scripting (Plus Skills) : Knowledge of Yocto OS, Shell scripting, or Python scripting is a plus.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ development.

- Expertise in L2/L3 networking protocols.

- Experience with at least one major routing protocol (OSPF, BGP, etc.).

- Hands-on knowledge of MPLS and L3 forwarding.

- Understanding of distributed router architecture/design.

- Experience with coding, unit testing, and integration in a networking environment.

Good to Have Skills :

- Yocto OS experience.

- Shell scripting or Python scripting knowledge.

- Experience with Linux-based networking environments.

- Knowledge of SDN/NFV concepts.

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
