We are seeking a 4G/5G RAN Protocol Lead Developer with expertise in C/C++ programming and deep knowledge of 4G/5G RAN (Radio Access Network) protocols at L1 (Physical Layer), L2 (RLC/MAC layers). This position is ideal for a seasoned developer with hands-on experience in protocol stack development for next-generation wireless communication systems.

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing RAN Protocols, contributing to both L1 and L2 layers, and working with technologies like Nvidia Phy or Xilinx. Experience with OAI (Open Air Interface) integration is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

RAN Protocol Development :

- Lead the development and optimization of 4G/5G RAN protocols, focusing on L1 (Physical Layer), L2 (RLC/MAC).

- Work with protocols that include PHY, RLC, and MAC, ensuring robust, high-performance solutions.

C/C++ Development :

- Write efficient C/C++ code for RAN protocols and contribute to the design and architecture of the system.

Hardware Acceleration (Preferred) :

- Experience working with Nvidia Phy or Xilinx hardware for accelerating RAN processing.

Integration & Testing :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the RAN protocol stack into 4G/5G systems.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance optimization.

OAI Integration (Good to Have) :

- Experience integrating with Open Air Interface (OAI) to contribute to the open-source development and enhance the stack functionality.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Document the design, development, and testing processes for the RAN protocol stack.

- Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders regarding the progress of development.

Team Leadership :

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers on the team.

Key Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- C/C++ programming expertise, especially for low-level protocol stack development.

- Strong experience with 4G/5G RAN protocols, particularly L1 (Physical Layer), and L2 (RLC/MAC layers).

- Experience with PHY, RLC, MAC layers in 4G/5G RAN.

- Knowledge of Nvidia Phy or Xilinx technologies for hardware acceleration (preferred).

- In-depth understanding of wireless communications, RAN architecture, and protocol design.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with OAI (Open Air Interface) for 4G/5G RAN stack integration.

- Familiarity with network simulators and performance testing tools.

Experience : 7-12 years of experience in 4G/5G RAN protocol development, with a strong focus on C/C++ development and protocol stack optimization.
