Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Network Function Developer with a focus on 5G-NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) and SD Core development. This role involves contributing to the development of SD-CORE, particularly focused on the control plane, for upgrading from 5G R15 to R18. The role will also involve adding Lawful Interception features to the system.

The position requires deep expertise in Golang and network functions, especially for the 5G core networks, with experience in SD Core architecture. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing features critical to the control plane in 5G networks, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Function Development :

- Develop and enhance Network Functions for 5G-NTN core based on SD Core architecture, primarily in Golang.

SD Core Upgrades :

- Contribute to the upgrade of SD-Core from 5G R15 to R18, ensuring smooth transitions and feature improvements, especially for control plane functionalities.

Lawful Interception :

- Implement Lawful Interception functionalities as part of the core network development. This will include adding new capabilities for lawful monitoring and interception.

Design and Architecture :

- Design and develop scalable and high-performance network functions and contribute to SD Core architecture improvements.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and network engineers, to ensure successful integration and performance of network functions.

Testing and Optimization :

Perform testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure smooth operation and adherence to quality standards.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Document technical specifications, system designs, and any changes made to network functions.

- Provide regular updates and reports on development progress.

Key Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience with Golang for network function development.

- Deep understanding of 5G Core Networks and SD Core architecture, particularly R15 to R18 upgrades.

- Experience with the control plane of 5G networks, and familiarity with 5G-NTN concepts.

- Knowledge of Lawful Interception functionality in telecom networks.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to 5G R18 and the planned upgrade requirements.

- Familiarity with network function virtualization (NFV) and cloud-native principles in telecom.

Experience :

- 5 -10 years of experience in network function development with specific experience in 5G-NTN core or SD Core development.

- Expertise in Golang and development of control plane network functions.

- Experience in designing and implementing Lawful Interception features.

- Exposure to 5G core standards and architectures.
