Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Lead - India

Job Grade: General Manager / AVP / VP

Reporting To: Chairman and MD (Dual reporting)

Location: Vasai / Mumbai

Purpose

• This role involves driving and building critical long-term strategic sourcing partners and vendor that will elevate our rapidly growing business

• Strategic sourcing Lead analyze indirect procurement expenditures by sourcing strategic supply partners, developing sourcing policies, and creating cost estimates and forecasts while simultaneously negotiating equitable and cost-effective supply contracts.

Key Deliverables

• Create Version 2.0 alternate Suppliers across pan India

• Build Sourcing Channels from the scratch to optimize the cost and make Supply Chain and
Logistics leaner and more agile in its ways of working

• Train the suppliers to co-create and co-partner as per our specification to bring in the optimal
value to the OEMs

• Scout Tier 2 suppliers and groom them to be our preferred partners

• Build vendors from scratch and Ability to develop the right owners for existing raw materials

• Working with new and existing vendors day in and day out

Scope

• Build and Execute a Strategic roadmap on Global Sourcing & Purchasing

• Create cross-border synergy, including leveraging global buying power to create a worldwide supply chain partnership

• Import Management

• Vendor Selection and Vendor Development.

• Materials Planning and Control

• Transport Logistics -- inward and outward dispatches

• Develop a cost optimize distribution network

• Ability to set up ambitious deliverables, implementation and ensure compliance across team

• Planning encompassing the RM procurement to finished goods inventories

• Map SCM process, bring in best practices.

• Build India team over a period of time

• Supplier / Vendor evaluation for best quality and price.

• Be aware of safety guidelines and implement protocol in all aspects of the supply chain

• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.

Qualification & Preferences

• Must have a Bachelors & Masters in Engineering (Mechanical and Electronics)

• 15 to 20 years of experience in Supply Chain & Strategic Supplier Sourcing

• Age between 40 to 50 years

• Understanding of India supplier market in auto and white goods
