HR Generalist & Operations

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist & Operations will be responsible for managing and supporting all HR and operational activities related to the drivers. This includes overseeing attendance, leave records, absenteeism, payroll processing, discipline, and ensuring compliance with minimum wage and labor laws. The role is crucial for ensuring smooth driver operations while maintaining high standards of compliance and discipline

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drivers' Daily Timely Attendance
   
• Monitor and ensure all drivers report to work on time.
• Track and maintain daily attendance records, ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules.
• Report attendance anomalies and escalate issues as necessary.

1. Monitoring of Leave Records
   
• Maintain accurate records of all driver leave requests (e.g., sick leave, vacation, etc.).
• Review and approve leave requests in accordance with company policy and applicable labor laws.

1. Monitoring of Absenteeism
   
• Identify patterns of absenteeism among drivers and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct investigations into unexplained absenteeism and address any concerns promptly.
• Implement strategies to minimize absenteeism and improve driver attendance.
2. Drivers' Pay Sheets, Payment, and Issuing Uniforms
   
• Prepare and review drivers' pay sheets, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Process driver payments accurately and on time, in line with company policies.
• Manage the issuance and distribution of uniforms and other necessary equipment to drivers.
• Maintain inventory and records of uniforms issued.
3. Drivers' Discipline
   
• Monitor driver behavior to ensure compliance with company policies and professional standards.
• Address any violations of conduct promptly and in line with the company's disciplinary procedures.
• Administer appropriate corrective actions and maintain records of disciplinary actions.
• Foster a culture of discipline and professionalism within the driving team.
4. Monitoring of Minimum Wage and Other Legal Compliance
   

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a transportation or operations environment.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in HR software and MS Office applications.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Good Excel Knowledge ( Vlookup, Hlookup, Pivat table & other short cuts )

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role with some travel to operational sites as required.
• Full-time position with standard working hours.
