Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist with 3+ years of expertise in all areas of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation, and benefits. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a compliant and positive organizational culture. The Senior HR Generalist will collaborate closely with leadership to support strategic HR initiatives and ensure smooth HR operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
    • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for both hourly and salaried positions, ensuring the attraction of top talent.
    • Manage and develop recruitment strategies to fill positions efficiently and within the required timeframe.
    • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
    • Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
    • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns with discretion and professionalism.
    • Advise management on employee relations strategies, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Performance Management and Development:
    • Manage the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers on setting goals, offering feedback, and handling performance issues.
    • Design and implement employee training and development initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities and growth.
    • Support succession planning and career development programs for high-potential employees.
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration:
    • Administer and enhance compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and benefits packages.
    • Lead the analysis and benchmarking of compensation trends to ensure competitive pay structures.
    • Partner with payroll and benefits teams to resolve any payroll or benefits-related issues.
  • HR Compliance and Legal Adherence:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labour laws, and keep the organization informed about any relevant legal changes.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
    • Conduct audits of HR practices, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics:
    • Analyse HR metrics and generate reports to inform business decisions on turnover, retention, engagement, and performance.
    • Identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership regarding HR practices and initiatives.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and HR goals to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • HR Strategy and Leadership:
    • Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives that align with the companys goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to shaping and driving organizational culture, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior HR staff and other HR team members.
  • Health, Safety, and Well-being:
    • Ensure the organization is compliant with occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
    • Develop programs aimed at improving employee well-being, including wellness programs and employee assistance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
    • HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with demonstrated leadership in handling HR operations, employee relations, and compliance.
    • Advanced knowledge of HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and compensation/benefits administration tools.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and labor relations.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
