You shall be responsible for:
Market Research/Insights: Understanding competition, market trends in FMCG distribution, predicting emerging customer needs and pain points, penetrating new segments and identifying growth opportunities across parallel markets and geographies.
Key Account Management:
- Stay updated and maintain accurate records of client interaction
- Conduct weekly/fortnightly feedback sessions with clients and provide ongoing sales support to customers.
- Analyze sales data and reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize future engagement possibilities.
- Implement strategies to minimize over-stocking while preventing stock outs across all warehouses.
- Increase wallet share of business with existing clients while keeping costs in check.
Sales Pipeline and Targets:
- Prepare Quarterly/Monthly Sales Targets
- Grow Sales Pipeline across target customer sets through Inbound and Outbound sales initiatives, expanding customer databases and maintaining an in-depth data bank of prospective customers.
- Manage end-to-end sales lifecycle - Identifying prospects, opportunity scoping, develop solutions with operations team, cost workings, proposals, and negotiation with customers to close deals, execute agreements, and work with operations team for on-boarding and servicing clients.
- Achieving sales targets and ensuring timely Invoicing, and payments from customers in compliance with financial guidelines.
Product Evolution:
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (operations, finance, etc.) to create tailored solutions for client segments.
- Work constructively and communicate with C-level executives and delivery fleet to understand their pain points and propose suitable solutions.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present regular reports to inform strategic decisions.
You have:
- B. Tech / MBA / Professional Degree from Grade A+/A institution.
- 5+ years' relevant experience in selling 3PL supply chain solutions for large FMCG, Consumer brands across Western India.
- In-depth knowledge of the FMCG supply chain with strong connections in the FMCG distribution ecosystem in Mumbai, understanding channel commercials across categories, strong grasp of the retail distribution landscape in West India.
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage a team independently. A keen sense of ownership, drive, high in energy, motivated, enthusiastic, relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and team management skills.
- Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, prepare PowerPoint presentations, and good knowledge of tools and technologies SFA/TMS/WMS/GPS/OMS/CRM/etc.
- Fluent in speaking local languages Marathi/Gujarati/Hindi
- Experience building a vertical/new business is a plus.
