IT Programmer Analyst - PHP/Javascript (4-6 yrs)

ROLE & CORE FUNCTIONS :

To provide the following services :

- System Development (Primary)

- Systems Analysis & Design

- Develop, maintain, and enhance a core financial system, ensuring robust performance, security, and scalability in compliance with financial industry standards.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. System Development :

- Code, debug, test, and document application programs.

- Assist with maintenance, documentation, and testing of existing software.

- Test application programs.

- Assist in maintaining user manuals and/or technical documentation.

- Train users regarding the technical aspects and use of developed applications.

- Provide ongoing support to users of application software.

2. Systems Analysis & Design :

- Work collaboratively with business analysts, product owners, and other programmer analysts to understand and document requirements specifications for new system features and/or enhancements to existing systems.

- Understand the big picture and various use cases involved while crafting solutions and document them in Unified Modelling Language (UML).

- Identify the appropriate software architecture for both server-side and client-side solutions to achieve the proposed requirements.

- Prepare detailed software design specifications based on system requirements specifications.

- Analyse data requirements and document database design for implementation.

- Design and develop test plans and/or success criteria for application programs and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

- First Degree in I.T. / Computer Science.

- Advanced knowledge of C# (Primary).

- Proficiency in PHP (Secondary).

- Experience working with MVC Frameworks.

- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming.

- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience with SQL Server/MySQL, building advanced queries.

- Knowing both would be an advantage.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and good understanding of AJAX and JSON requests.

- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js.

- Experience working with Git repositories.

- Experience working with Docker or other container platforms is a plus.

- Experience with Azure or AWS is a plus.

- Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.

REQUISITE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :

- Advanced knowledge of Relational Datastores/RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).

- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

- Proficient in Agile Scrum Framework (Developer).

- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) designs, MVC, and Microservices Architecture.

- Proficient in applying coding standards and SOLID principles.

- Strong analytical and programming skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
