Senior AWS Engineer - IAC Terraform (5-7 yrs)

Job Description

- 5-7+ years of relevant technology experience

- Strong expert level skills of AWS services including PaaS service

- Strong hands on design and architecture experience on AWS.

- Hands on experience in one or more programming languages preferably Python

- Hands-on experience developing Cloud agnostic Infrastructure As Code pipeline using Terraform-

- Understanding of micro-services and REST APIs-based application development

- Understanding of GIT-based source code management, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Groovy Scripting-

- Experience in developing AWS Policies.

- Experience in deployment of multi-tenant Kubernetes platform

- Experience in working with bash, PowerShell scripting.

- Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure solutions for various applications.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash and PowerShell to streamline AWS tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources.

- Automate repetitive tasks, such as backups, system updates, and log management.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines using AWS services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, etc.).

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and CloudFormation.

- Manage and monitor cloud environments using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other monitoring tools.

- Implement security best practices for cloud architecture and automation, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

- Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure configurations, scripts, and processes.

- Support disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience working with AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.

- Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting for task automation, system administration, and AWS resource management.

- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline).

- Experience with AWS CLI and SDKs (e.g., Boto3 for Python).

- Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with IAM, KMS, and other AWS security services.

- Experience in deploying and managing applications in an AWS environment.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration using ECS or EKS is a plus.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
