Job Description:

Astral Limited is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Packaging Maintenance to oversee the maintenance and optimization of packaging machinery. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in fluid/liquid packaging equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Packaging Machinery Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of fluid/liquid packaging machines.
• Ensure smooth functioning of filling, sealing, capping, and labeling machines.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.

🔹 Operational Efficiency & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in packaging equipment.
• Improve efficiency by analyzing machine performance and implementing corrective actions.

🔹 Spare Parts & Inventory Management:

• Maintain an adequate stock of spare parts for preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for machine spare parts and services.

🔹 Compliance & Safety Standards:

• Ensure compliance with industry safety and quality regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain operational safety and machine reliability.

🔹 Team Management & Training:

• Supervise and guide the maintenance team.
• Conduct training sessions for operators on machine handling and basic troubleshooting.

Key Skills & Attributes:

✔ Expertise in fluid/liquid packaging machinery maintenance
✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✔ Knowledge of preventive & predictive maintenance techniques
✔ Experience in handling packaging equipment from leading OEMs
✔ Ability to manage a team and optimize maintenance processes

Qualifications:

🎓 Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields
📌 8-9 years of experience in packaging maintenance (fluid/liquid)
📌 Experience in FMCG, Chemicals, Adhesives, or related industries preferred
