Sr. Quantity Surveyor-MEP - (JOB CODE : KSA-1111)

Desired Candidate Profile:

• BE-Mechanical/Electrical, Engineering, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience in MEP quantity surveying, preferably in large-scale construction projects, experience in both commercial, Infra and residential projects is crucial to adapt to varying client needs and requirements.
• Candidates having GCC region experience are preferred for familiarity with local market conditions.
• Fluency in English is a must; knowledge of Arabic or other regional languages is a distinct advantage.
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools
• Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate and resolve issues with contractors and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed MEP cost estimates by analyzing project specifications, drawings, quantity and scope of work.
• Prepare and maintain a comprehensive database of labor rates, material costs, and equipment pricing to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Review and analyse vendor quotes and sub-contractor bids to ensure competitiveness and alignment with project requirements.
• Utilize specialized estimation software and tools to streamline the estimating process and enhance productivity.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to continuously improve estimation practices and methodologies.
• Evaluate and negotiate procurement contracts for MEP materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in all MEP cost estimations and project executions.
• Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions related to MEP works, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Perform risk assessments related to cost and schedule impacts, developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related financial inquiries and disputes, resolving issues efficiently and effectively
