P & M Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of Mobile and Stationary Mechanical Plant, Mechanical Spares and Consumable Stock by functionally reporting to the Plant Manager and administratively to Project in-charge.
• Training and endorsement of Operators/Drivers to operate Vehicles and Mechanical Plant Reduce Overhaul and Service turnaround cycle time and maintenance costs.
• To ensure the Team are aware of the Health and Safety requirements and advise on appropriate action to minimize the risk in the Workplace and achieve Compliance with Statutory Requirements, Industry Standards and Codes of Practice on all matters relating to Operations and usage of Plant, Machinery and Vehicles.
• Ensure the preparation and implementation of an acceptable Annual Maintenance and Servicing Schedule for all motorized Vehicles, Plant and other Equipment whilst having regard for the Site Programs and ensure availability of fast-moving parts for repair and replacement with minimum interruption.
• Inspect and report on all Plant, Vehicles and Equipment for the servicing of the same and recommend obsolescence and improvements, wherever necessary.
• Provide overall supervision and Technical Support for Tower Crane erection, dismantling and maintenance and responsible for preparation of Tower Crane commissioning documents and ensure they are signed off by the Clients.
• Management of Supervisory Staff to ensure maximum levels of personal performance through Training, Appraisals, Coaching and Communication.
• Maintain list of PMV assets in the Asset Register.
• Budget C expenses control related with Plant cost, major repairs in coordination with Plant Manager and take corrective action for consumable cost overrun.
• Monitor the surplus, commissioning C demobilization of assets based on real time issues of the Project Sites and update in ERP.
• Preparation of MIS Reports related with Equipment status, PMV performance, Plant Cost • etc.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• BE Degree/ Diploma mechanical or Electrical with a strong foundation in machinery design principles.
• Minimum 8+ years experience in PMV Operation of a large civil contracting company into building services.
• Candidates having GCC region experience are preferred for familiarity with local market conditions.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and safety standards to ensure compliance in all operations.
