Senior Manager/AGM/DGM - Procurement

Role: Procurement is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the procurement, material

management, and logistics process for the purchase required. In this leadership role, the candidate

will direct the procurement of goods and services and revise other procurement-related strategies

based on country (China, Europe, North America) / MENA, NAFTA, ASEAN, EU

Purpose of the Job:

• To procure the requisitioned material and services for Mechanical within the desired project

schedule as per the applicable standard operating procedures.

• Carry out commercial negotiations up to USD 250000 or as delegated by the Technical

Director

• Vendor network & contacts. Ability and strong credentials in maintaining professional relations

with vendors.

• Maintain good teamwork amongst internal & External customer

Educational Qualifications

• BE (Mech/Production/Industrial), Diploma in Materials Management/MBA is desirable

Total years of experience

• 15 years 20 years

Technical /Functional Expertise:

• Good understanding of the purchasing life cycle.

• Knowledge of ERP

• Knowledge of basic computer skills.

• Knowledge of Reverse Auction process / E Tendering.

• Good negotiation skills

• Must have sound knowledge of International Procurement terms, norms, and regulations. i.e

INCOTERMS, ICA

Required experiences:

• Experienced in the procurement of mechanical machines for projects

• Experience is the procurement of revenue items, spares, etc.

• Experience in procurement of construction items.

• Should have exhaustive experience in dealing with vendors based out of India and within

India,

• Experience in executing procurement for large-scale projects.

• Experience in identifying, profiling, and sourcing agents and aggregators

• Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably.

• Liaises with key company employees to determine their equipment requirements which are

needed for the projects

• Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods

and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.

• Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best company prices.

• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers and vendors globally.

• Research new products and services to meet the company's goals.
