Job Description
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the woven finishing department, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee the finishing processes for cotton, Lycra, and polyester fabrics, including processes like dyeing, printing, calendaring, and coating.
- Monitor and adjust the settings of finishing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and high-quality output.
- Ensure that finishing operations meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished fabrics, identifying any defects or issues in the fabric's finish, and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage and train a team of technicians and operators, ensuring they are skilled in operating finishing machinery and equipment.
- Maintain records of production batches, material usage, and quality reports.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., weaving, dyeing, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of finished goods.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all team members follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the finishing process, machinery, or material quality.
- Stay updated on new finishing technologies and techniques, recommending improvements or innovations where necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels of finishing chemicals, auxiliaries, and consumables, and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
