Associate Manager - Product Development (Continuous Dyeing)

Role & responsibilities

1. Dyeing Process Development:
   
• Develop and refine dyeing processes to enhance color quality, durability, and fabric performance.
• Research and experiment with new dyeing methods, chemicals, and technologies to innovate and improve processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new dyes, chemicals, and equipment for potential use in production.
2. Product Color Design and Development:
   
• Work closely with designers and merchandisers to create color palettes that meet market trends and customer specifications.
• Oversee the lab dipping, sample preparation, and color matching processes to ensure consistency.
• Conduct testing to ensure color fastness (e.g., wash fastness, light fastness) and other quality parameters.
3. Quality Control and Troubleshooting:
   
• Monitor dyeing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues in the dyeing process such as color variation, uneven dye uptake, or fabric damage.
• Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and improve consistency across batches.
4. Sustainability and Compliance:
   
• Stay up to date with industry regulations, environmental standards, and best practices for sustainable dyeing.
• Develop dyeing processes that minimize environmental impact, including waste reduction, water usage, and the selection of eco-friendly dyes.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international environmental regulations.
5. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
   
• Work closely with the production, technical, and quality control teams to ensure smooth transition from development to full-scale production.
• Provide technical support and training to the production teams on new dyeing methods, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, chemicals, and dyes.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   
• Maintain accurate records of dyeing recipes, formulations, and batch logs.
• Prepare detailed reports on the testing, evaluation, and outcomes of new dyeing processes and products.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of product development initiatives.
