Director - Finance & Legal - Fashion Retail/eCommerce/Quick Commerce (8-12 yrs)

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business goals.

- Lead annual operating planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Financial Operations:

- Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and cost efficiency initiatives.

- Ensure robust financial controls and accurate MIS reporting.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance:

- Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Implement policies to manage legal risk and ensure contractual compliance.

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

- Drive fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.

- Prepare detailed financial presentations and reports for stakeholders.

Business Performance & Risk Management:

- Monitor financial KPIs and develop risk mitigation strategies.

- Leverage data analytics to drive rapid, informed decision-making.

Supplier & Partner Engagement:

- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth financial operations.

Critical Success Factors

- Achievement of revenue and profitability targets.

- Successful execution of cost control and cash flow optimisation measures.

- Timely and accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

- Effective management of fundraising initiatives and investor relations.

Education and Experience

- CA, MBA in Finance, or a related qualification. Professional certifications are a plus.

- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within fashion retail, e-commerce, or quick commerce environments.

- Demonstrable track record in financial planning, legal compliance, fundraising, and cost optimisation.

- Prior experience in high-growth startup environments with an ability to manage change and drive innovation.
