Senior Staff Engineer - Application Development Team Lead

Position Summary :

The Senior Staff Engineer - Application Development Team Lead is a critical role within the Application Development Agile Team, responsible for collaborating with Business Relationship Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Software Developers, Architects, and Business Stakeholders.

The role involves evaluating business and technical requirements, identifying needs, and developing strategies to maximize digital opportunities. The ideal candidate must possess expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Unix, Oracle EBS Product Lifecycle Management, and Infor Product Lifecycle Management (Optiva).

Key Responsibilities :

Agile Practice & Team Role :

- Work in a continuous delivery mode, analyzing, testing, and delivering features iteratively.

- Demonstrate and uphold Agile processes and principles to ensure effective and timely software delivery.

Technical Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to enhance application functionality.

- Ensure database performance, integrity, and security through efficient PL/SQL coding practices.

- Utilize Unix/Linux environments for application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Develop Shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational processes.

- Customize and extend Oracle EBS modules related to Product Lifecycle Management.

- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Work on the customization and extension of Infor Product Lifecycle Management (Optiva) to meet business needs.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Engage with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers to drive technical solutions.

- Partner with business and IT teams to understand, refine, and implement strategic initiatives.

- Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior developers and ensure best practices are followed.

Problem Solving & Innovation :

- Proactively identify system inefficiencies and recommend solutions for optimization.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in Oracle EBS and Infor PLM to enhance system capabilities.

- Drive continuous improvements in development processes, deployment, and automation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Experience : 13-17 years of experience in application development, with a strong focus on Oracle PL/SQL and Unix.

Technical Skills :

- Expert-level Oracle PL/SQL development (procedures, functions, packages, triggers).

- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments for deployment and troubleshooting.

- Strong experience in Shell scripting for automation.

- Experience in Oracle EBS Product Lifecycle Management customization and extension.

- Working knowledge of Infor Product Lifecycle Management (Optiva).

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
