Purchase Manager - Textile

Role & responsibilities

• Procure Raw Materials: Source and purchase textiles, yarns, dyes, and other production materials.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure on-time delivery of quality materials.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage raw material stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Cost Control: Manage the procurement budget, track spending, and find cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased materials meet company standards by conducting quality checks and coordinating with the quality control team.
• Logistics Coordination: Ensure the timely delivery of materials, work with logistics teams, and address any delivery delays or issues.
• Market Research: Keep up-to-date with trends in textile materials, new technologies, and innovative sourcing practices.
• Team Management: Supervise the procurement team, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in the textile industry.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to analyze costs, effective communication, and familiarity with ERP systems and textile production processes.
