Sr.IE Executive - Woven (Shirts)

Role & responsibilities

• Process Improvement:
  
• Analyze and optimize garment production processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead time.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies and lean manufacturing practices.
• Work Study & Time Management:
  
• Conduct time and motion studies to determine the most efficient methods of production.
• Set standard times for production processes, ensuring optimal labor utilization and production rates.
• Layout Design:
  
• Design and develop the layout of production lines and workstations to enhance workflow and minimize downtime.
• Ensure the design and setup align with safety, ergonomics, and quality standards.
• Cost Control & Budgeting:
  
• Develop strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
• Monitor production costs and suggest ways to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
• Resource Planning:
  
• Plan and coordinate the allocation of resources such as labor, machinery, and materials to meet production targets.
• Forecast production needs and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
• Quality Management:
  
• Ensure that production processes meet the required quality standards.
• Work with the quality control team to address any issues related to product quality and implement corrective actions.
• Production Scheduling:
  
• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of garment orders.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, procurement, and logistics) to ensure smooth production flow.
• Training & Development:
  
• Provide training to production staff on new methods, equipment, and safety practices.
• Support teams in adopting new technologies or systems that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  
• Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports on performance, process efficiency, and cost savings for management.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance:
  
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an industrial engineer or similar role in the garment or manufacturing industry.
