Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a proven track record in international IT services sales. The candidate will play a critical role in converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and subsequently securing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This individual will own the sales process, deliver corporate presentations, nurture prospects, and assist in deal closures, contributing significantly to the organizations revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification and Nurturing
1. Collaborate with the Marketing & Lead Generation Team: Conduct corporate presentations for appointments scheduled by the marketing and lead gen team.
2. Lead Nurturing: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, guiding them from MQL to SQL and ensuring RFP submissions.
3. Pipeline Management: Track and manage leads effectively through the sales funnel using CRM tools.
Sales Ownership
4. Sales Process Ownership: Take full ownership of the sales cycle from initial prospect engagement to final closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
5. Proposal Collaboration: Work closely with presales, technical, and delivery teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure timely submission.
6. Closing Support: Assist senior sales and leadership teams in closing high-value deals.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
7. Cold Caller Team Management: Hire, train, mentor, and monitor a team of cold callers to execute a robust outbound strategy.
8. Performance Monitoring: Set KPIs for the cold calling team and ensure their performance aligns with organizational objectives.
Market and Industry Expertise
9. IT Services Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of IT services and solutions to engage with prospects effectively and position the company as a trusted partner.
10. International Sales: Drive business growth by targeting and engaging international markets, tailoring strategies to specific regional needs.
Key Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
• MBA graduate from a reputed business school.
• 6-8 years of experience in sales development or business development in the IT services industry.
• Proven expertise in international sales, with a strong understanding of global markets and buyer personas.
Skills and Competencies
1. Sales and Relationship Management:
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Experience in nurturing leads and converting them into qualified opportunities.
2. Presentation and Communication:
• Exceptional presentation skills with experience delivering corporate presentations to CXO-level stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Team Management:
• Proven ability to hire, mentor, and monitor teams effectively.
• Experience setting up KPIs and tracking performance for outbound teams.
4. Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient in using CRM tools for sales pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Familiarity with sales automation and lead scoring tools.
5. IT Services Knowledge:
• Solid understanding of IT services, solutions, and the competitive landscape.
• Ability to engage in consultative selling and position the organization’s offerings effectively.
6. Results-Driven:
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess lead quality and optimize nurturing strategies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Number of MQLs successfully converted into SQLs.
2. Number of RFPs generated and submitted.
3. Sales pipeline value and velocity.
4. Team performance metrics (e.g., cold call success rates, appointments booked).
5. Contribution to closed deals and overall revenue targets.
