JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Manager Safety - Projects

1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain Adani Safety Management systems, procedures, and protocols.

2. Advice Project Head in the matter of HSE, Local Legislation, BOCW Act & Updating the current govt. policies related to HSE.

3. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.

4. Scrutinizing the Incident Investigations, near misses, Dangerous occurrences of the contractors/ vendors and advising to implement suitable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

4. Develop and deliver specific HSE training programs for employees, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

5. Collaborate with project teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

6. Preparing the monthly reports for business unit safety along with MIS (management information system) reports.

7. Conducting periodic audits as per the Group/BU safety requirements.

8. Monitor and advise contractors about the HSE performance, incident rates, audit results, and ensuring the compliance status in time.

9. Ensure and monitoring contractors are complying with local regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.

10. Develop and manage the HSE budget, including costs associated with training, equipment, and consulting services.

11. Lead and participate in HSE audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives of contractors.

12. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.

BE / B. Tech & M. Tech

ADIS

Diploma in Industrial Safety

EXPERIENCE / Knowledge

15 - 20 years of managerial experience in HSE

Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office

Strong verbal and written presentation skills

Effective communication skills

Good understanding of project management

Good Knowledge in digital documentation.

Good knowledge about current legal requirements

Good knowledge of implementation of project Health, Safety and Environmental strategies / initiatives across the projects
