Job Description
Purpose/Objective
-
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Senior manager to oversee the development and implementation of battery energy storage systems.
The ideal candidate will have total 10-12 years of work experience with 5-6 years experience in the battery energy storage systems industry and will play a critical role in leading the battery packs team to meet our strategic objectives.
Additionally, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, work closely with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in battery packs design.
Key Responsibilities of Role
-
- Lead the team in the design, development, and testing of battery packs for utility scale BESS, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues related to battery packs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in battery technology to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, project management and quality assurance teams to integrate battery packs into larger energy storage systems and ensure seamless operation.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of battery packs.
- Implement robust safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with battery packs.
- Contribute to the development of the overall energy storage strategy and participate in strategic planning activities.
Interfacing with vendors/ suppliers and driving value engineering initiatives for cost reduction and technology superiority
Technical Competencies
-
knowledge of lithium-ion battery cell technologies,Experience with Casting and molding processes.
,Understanding of manufacturing processes ,Advanced proficiency in designing battery pack
Qualifications and Experience
-
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
