- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification in metallurgy or related field is preferred
- Managing and overseeing the smelting process to ensure the efficient conversion of copper ore into high-quality copper metal
- Implementing and maintaining safe work practices in the smelting operation, adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations
- Monitoring and optimizing smelting equipment and processes to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Collaborating with the production team to achieve production targets and quality standards
- Participating in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance smelting operations
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance activities to uphold the integrity and functionality of smelting equipment
- Managing and leading a team of smelting operators, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations
- Reporting on production output, quality metrics, and any operational issues to the relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices within the smelting process
