- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelting plant, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage a team of smelting technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Optimize smelting processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize energy consumption.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities on smelting equipment.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure quality control measures are in place to maintain the desired chemical composition of the smelted copper.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to create a secure work environment for all smelting plant employees.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in smelting technology and recommend upgrades or modifications as necessary.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and participate in audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare reports on smelting operations, including production output, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
