Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Masters degree or additional certifications in relevant fields (preferred)
- 10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry
- Demonstrated experience in smelting operations and management
- Proven track record of leadership and team management
- Oversee the day-to-day smelting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets
- Lead and manage a team of smelting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the procurement of raw materials and the distribution of finished products
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to smelting operations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the smelting facility
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding smelting operations, performance metrics, and future plans
- Mentor and develop the next generation of smelting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
