Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Masters degree in a relevant field is preferred
- 10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry
- Proven track record in smelter operations and management
- Experience in implementing safety protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a team of smelter operators
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelting process
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of smelting equipment and machinery
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular maintenance and repairs of smelting equipment
- Manage and lead a team of smelter operators, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain product quality standards
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Prepare regular reports on smelter operations and performance for senior management
- Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for smelter operators
